Technical Lead - Site Reliability Engineer
As a Technical Lead, you are vital to sustaining the success of our operations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping tactics and strategy in the stability and optimizations in the existing operations as well as onboarding new opportunities from our customers, through continuous collaboration with your teammates and members outside of your team. You embrace grit, diving deep into operations to uncover toil and inefficiencies, and to ultimately build automated solutions and streamline processes.
Your role extends beyond technical expertise, through embracing leadership, mentorship, and effective communication to drive the success of our teams. You will lead by influence rather than authority, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. You will enable your team to navigate projects of any complexity by providing expert support when required. You take holistic approaches in solving real-world problems, factoring in cost considerations and ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Technical Leads craft clear and concise documentation aligned with stakeholder requirements, and effectively communicate implementation details with teammates. You recognize when to introduce relevant facts into discussions, tailoring communication to the audience's technical expertise.
You regularly seek feedback and respond to it maturely, continuously improving your own performance. You will onboard and mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and cultivating a culture of learning and growth.

You have 5+ years of related experience working in a distributed system environment, having a deep understanding of how distributed systems work and its different layers in infrastructure, network, platform, and how microservices work together.
You serve as a Subject-Matter Expert in one or more of the following fields:
Linux Administration such as RedHat or CentOS, Debian or Ubuntu.
Application / Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Support, Container management using Docker on Kubernetes or Hashicorp Nomad.
Continuous integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Jenkins, TeamCity, Github Actions.
Cloud Computing Platforms and Technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Platform (GCP), and Akamai Linode.
Monitoring, Alerting & Observability Concepts and Technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Scripting and Programming such as BASH or Python Scripting.
You have technical leadership qualities to serve as an escalation resource and mentor for junior engineers.
You demonstrate sound technical operational approaches, emphatic customer service and effective collaboration with external partners.
You have the ability to work through complex engineering obstacles using debugging and problem-solving skills.
You are self-sufficient, self-starter with proven success on taking strong ownership of projects.
You are experienced in creating training materials for the development of your teammates, as well as writing runbooks or documentation of methods or procedures with guaranteed effectiveness.
You are well-versed in leading customer meetings to provide updates, investigate issues, and proactively collate feedback
You preferably have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or business related field
