Sr. Fintech App Support Engineer
Develop operational strategies and act as a subject matter expert on microservices and distributed systems for fintech applications.
Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on operations.
Proactively diagnose and resolve issues using in-depth log analysis, and prevent recurring problems.
Continuously improve processes by identifying inefficiencies and applying solutions to improve service reliability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions.
Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops within the team.
Be a member of a 24x7 shifting rotation.
Bachelor’s degree in any Information Technology or Engineering course
Demonstrated ability in supporting critical production services and optimizing operations through automation and process improvements.
Strong understanding of SRE principles: e.g. observability, SLOs, eliminating toil.
At least 5 years experience working with the following:
Supporting critical production services
Logging and monitoring: Splunk, Prometheus, or other APM & observability tools
Container Orchestration: Kubernetes
Version Control: Git
Incident management: PagerDuty, ServiceNow
Linux administration
Operations experience in e-commerce, Payments systems, or financial services.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell).
Relevant certifications in any of the key skills (e.g. CKA or CKAD certified)
Familiarity with SQL queries for troubleshooting.
