Senior Lab and Platform Engineer

OpsWerks is a technical consulting company specializing in operational services for the high-tech industry. We help platform and infrastructure teams operate multi-cloud environments, execute complex migrations, and enable seamless app deployments.

Your Role

• Design, build, and maintain training lab environments for all upskilling programs 

• Create realistic production-like scenarios for hands-on practice 

• Ensure lab environments can support 180+ learners + 35+ interns with proper isolation/reset capabilities 

• Automate lab provisioning and teardown 

• Build incident simulation environments (chaos engineering scenarios, degraded states, etc.) 

• Monitor lab uptime and user experience 

• Collaborate with all trainers to translate learning objectives into hands-on exercises 

Your Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as Infrastructure Engineer, training/teaching experience, strong incident response background  

• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure/Linode) 

• Container orchestration (Kubernetes for multi-tenant isolation) 

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) 

• CI/CD pipelines for lab environment updates 

• Monitoring and observability tools 

• Prioritizes simplicity over complexity for infrastructure design 

• Strong collaborator who can share ownership organically
