IT DevOps Engineer

OpsWerks is a technical consulting company specializing in operational services for the high-tech industry. We help platform and infrastructure teams operate multi-cloud environments, execute complex migrations, and enable seamless app deployments.

Your Role

System Reliability, Performance & Security 

• Maintain high availability, optimized performance, and a strong security posture across on‑premises and cloud environments 

• Troubleshoot incidents and provide advanced support for IT infrastructure and applications 

• Monitor systems proactively and respond to operational issues and outages 

Cloud & Infrastructure Management 

• Support and maintain AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, IAM, networking, and security policies 

• Administer and maintain applications across development, staging, and production environments 

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (AzureRM provider preferred), AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM Templates / Bicep 

Office 365 Administration 

Administer and manage Office 365 services including: 

• Exchange Online 

• SharePoint Online 

• Microsoft Teams

• OneDrive 

• Security and compliance features 

• Support user access, policies, configurations, and ongoing platform improvements 

 Application & Operational Support 

• Provide support for in‑house applications, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and system monitoring 

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve environment and deployment issues 

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures 

CI/CD, Automation & DevOps Practices 

• Maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines 

• Implement automation for testing, builds, deployments, and release management 

• Use tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Ansible to reduce manual operational work 

• Promote DevOps best practices across teams 

Your Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or System Engineer 

• Hands‑on expertise with Linux systems and administration 

• Extensive hands‑on experience administering Office 365 E3, including Azure, Exchange Online, and SharePoint 

• Experience supporting and operating cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) 

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; experience with Bash or Python is a strong advantage 

• Strong troubleshooting skills and an operational mindset 

• Working knowledge of Git for version control 

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads 

• Ability to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment 

• Adaptable and forward‑thinking, with the ability to perform technology research and POC testing to improve IT processes 

Plus points if you have:

• Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms 

• Practical experience with: 

  • Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure IaC tools 

  • Git, Docker, and Kubernetes 

  • GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible 

  • Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Graylog 

• Experience operating production systems with monitoring, alerting, and logging 

• Cloud certifications, such as: 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect 

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator 

  • Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent cloud certification
