IT Engineer

OpsWerks is a technical consulting company specializing in operational services for the high-tech industry. We help platform and infrastructure teams operate multi-cloud environments, execute complex migrations, and enable seamless app deployments.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Engineer to ensure high system availability, performance, and security across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role focuses on IT operations, infrastructure management, and enterprise system support, covering cloud platforms, SaaS applications, network services, and internal business systems.

You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to troubleshoot incidents, maintain stable and secure systems, and continuously improve infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

System Reliability, Performance & Security

• Maintain high availability, optimized performance, and a strong security posture across on‑premises and cloud environments.

• Troubleshoot incidents and provide advanced support for IT infrastructure and applications.

• Monitor systems proactively and respond to operational issues and outages.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Support and maintain AWS cloud environments, including EC2, S3, IAM, networking, and security policies

• Administer and maintain applications across development, staging, and production environments.

Office 365 Administration

• Administer and manage Office 365 services including Exchange Online

• SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Security and compliance features

Application & Operational Support

• Provide support for in‑house applications, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve environment and deployment issues.

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Your Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or System Engineer.

• Hands‑on expertise with Linux systems and administration.

• Extensive hands‑on experience administering Office 365 E5/E3, including Azure, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.

• Experience supporting and operating cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; experience with Bash or Python is a strong advantage

• Experience in Networking, MacOS

• Strong troubleshooting skills and an operational mindset.

• Ability to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.

• Adaptable and forward‑thinking, with the ability to perform technology research and POC testing to improve IT processes

Plus Points / Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms

• Experience in CI/CD, Automation & DevOps Practices

• Experience operating production systems with monitoring, alerting, and logging

  Cloud certifications, such as:

  o   AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  o   AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

  o   Azure Administrator Associate

  o   Or equivalent cloud certification
