Instructional Designer
OpsWerks is a technical consulting company specializing in operational services for the high-tech industry. We help platform and infrastructure teams operate multi-cloud environments, execute complex migrations, and enable seamless app deployments.
Your Role
Transform ideas and storyboards into learner-ready assets, including SCORM/xAPI-compliant courses, job aids, and micro-learning modules.
Ensure all learning products are clear, accessible, polished, and aligned with organizational goals.
Manage the end-to-end development process: design, QA, publishing into the LMS, and post-launch improvements.
Design engaging learning experiences with knowledge checks, bite-sized modules, and supportive job aids.
Collaborate closely with SMEs and L&D teammates, running reviews and pilot tests to refine learning products.
Incorporate feedback and iterate to continuously improve the learner experience.
Your Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or Learning & Development operations.
Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, or Captivate, and familiarity with LMS platforms (SCORM/xAPI).
Strong writing and visual communication skills, with attention to detail in QA and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance).
Ability to balance creativity with consistency, ensuring learning materials meet high standards and learner needs.
Exposure to learning operations, learning development programs, or compliance tools is a plus.
LMS platform knowledge (Moodle, Docebo, or similar).
Reporting and dashboarding (Excel, Google Sheets, built-in Microsoft tools).
