We are currently looking for a Cloud Engineer who has a working experience  in handling Containerized application deployment and Hybrid Infrastructure. As part of your responsibilities, you are to enable and empower users of the Platform by helping them in abstracting Infrastructure, Platform, and Pipeline issues. You are also expected to fulfill internal projects that improves the Infrastructure and  Platform’s overall tech debt.

Your Role

• You will act as a first responder for areas that are within the scope of our customers' systems and infrastructure.
  
• You will oversee and maintain our customers' cloud infrastructure ensuring that everything is operational.
  
• You will develop solutions for challenging and business-critical problems.
  
• You will work with a wide range of software and engineering teams to support workflows in their existing platform.
  
• You will troubleshoot and participate in the on-call duty to support emergency outages along with our customers' teams.
  
• You will perform root cause analysis, identify and resolve underlying problem patterns, while driving to develop automated and self-healing solutions
  
• You will be embedded in teams that are focusing on development, quality, performance, reliability, infrastructure, security and compliance
  
• You will be on an 8-hour rotating shift on a 24x7 coverage.
  

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher education
  
• Expert in Linux Administration (Ubuntu, RHEL)
  
• At least 3 years experience working with the following:
  
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS managed services
• IaC tools: Hashicorp Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools
• Build and Release: Git/Github/Gitlab, Artifactory, CI/CD (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker, or similar tools), build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Hashicorp Nomad, EKS, ECS
• Log and Monitoring: Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch
• Minimum 3 years of supporting Infrastructure in an agile development environment
  
• Could create automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Go
  
• Good grasp of DevOps culture and tools
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Plus Points

• Relevant certifications in any of the skills on key qualifications
  
• Experience with configuring reverse proxy servers like Envoy or NGINX
  
• Proficiency in Networking (TCP/IP, Security, Security Appliances such as HSM, Netscaler, IPtables, and Routing)
  
• Knowledgeable in service mesh tools such as Istio and Consul
  
• Experience with using SQL and NoSQL Databases like Oracle and Cassandra databases
